Minette’s Angels Foundation hosted their 2018 Celebration of Angels Gala on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, New Jersey.  The Foundation honored the Reverend Michael A. Hanly, Myriad Genetic Laboratories, Inc. and Dr. and Mrs. Michael Scoppetuolo for their passion, commitment, dedication and spiritual guidance to all those in their care and for partnering in our vision of a world without breast cancer.

Bloomingdale’s Short Hills 50th Anniversary Benefits Minette’s Angels

Argyle Nelson, Group Vice President and General Manager of Bloomingdale’s Short Hills and Ken McKenna, Founder of Minette’s Angels, invited many of their nearest and dearest friends for a fun reception celebrating 50 years of Bloomingdale’s at Short Hills Mall. Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and music.

ElyseRyan, a dear friend to the Minette’s Angels Foundation, created and showcased her exclusive beaded bracelet in support of our mission to keep the spirit of Minette alive by supporting breast cancer patients and survivors.

At the event, Minette’s Angels also unveiled the honorees of the Celebration of Angels 15th Anniversary gala, which was held on Thursday, April 26th at The Park Savoy Estate. They were pleased to announce that Michael A. Hanly, Myriad Genetic Laboratories, Inc. and Dr. and Mrs. Michael Scoppetuolo would be honored at our 2018 gala! We thank our honorees for their passion, commitment, dedication, spiritual guidance and partnership in our shared vision of a world without breast cancer.

Impact Scholarship

The newly created Impact Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior in northern New Jersey that has been directly impacted by breast cancer (i.e. family member previously treated, currently undergoing treatment, or passed away due to breast cancer).

Applications for our 2022 scholarship are open. To apply, please click here to download the application. When complete, please e-mail to scholarships@minettesangels.org

Minette’s Angels General Scholarship

For the past 12 years, Minette’s Angels has awarded scholarships to graduating high school senior from Verona as they begin their college education to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Each year the scholarship committee receives submissions from students who have aspirations to become doctors, nurses, researchers, lab technicians, and psychologists among other healthcare professions.

Minette’s Angels is pleased to award Madison Nigro (Verona High School) and Kristen Brown (Verona High School) our 2021 General Scholarships. Congratulations!

2017 Ladies Tea

Minette’s Angels is pleased to announce that their sixth Ladies Tea was held on Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at the Montclair Golf Club In West Orange, NJ.  Elissa J. Santoro, M.D. and Julia Russo, a second year student in the Human Genetics Program at Sarah Lawrence College, were the Foundation’s guest speakers. Their presentation on Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Genetics was well received by all attendees and helped to continue the Foundation’s mission to promote breast health awareness, which is vital to saving lives.  The afternoon provided passed champagne, tea service, assorted tea sandwiches and pastries at a beautiful venue for survivors, family and friends to gather and socialize while learning about the role of genetics in a cancer diagnosis.

Verona and Cedar Grove Volleyball Raise More than $2,000 at Dig Pink Game

VERONA, NJ – Verona and Cedar Grove volleyball battled for a good cause at the annual Dig Pink game in Verona on Thursday. The Hillbillies took the match in two games, defeating the Panthers 25-12 and 25-18, but the Minette’s Angel Foundation was the big winner as the teams raised $2,211 for the breast cancer support group.

VHS Athletics Thanks Minette’s Angels

The Verona Hillbillies Athletic Department would like to give a warm, Hillbilly Thank You to Minette’s Angels Foundation for their contributions to our athletic teams. When a spectator attends a sporting event in the month of October, they will notice the color pink added to our traditional Maroon & White colors.
The pink accessories, including socks, laces, and armbands, were generously donated by the Minette’s Angels Foundation to raise awareness in the fight against Breast Cancer.

2016 Tie A Ribbon

In October 2016, Minette’s Angels and its volunteers tied ribbons around the town of Verona to help raise support and awareness for breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
